What to do at the Adige
Book a holiday home or holiday apartment on the Adige and you’ll be near great coastal destinations as Isolaverde and Rosolina Mare, as well as the one of Italy’s most famous cities, Verona. In Verona you can walk the wonderful narrow, labyrinth-style streets and explore its many great attractions. The two most important attractions are The Arena, a Roman amphitheatre that dates back to the 1st century A.D., and Juliet’s House, a beautiful old house with a balcony that is said by the locals - slightly mischievously - to be where Juliet of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' lived. For a different experience, visit Albarella, an unspoilt island that offers the best Adriatic experience in the region. If you want to explore nature, strap on your hiking boots and visit the Adige Valley (Etschtal), an expensive hilly region great for hiking.
When to visit the Adige
The best time to rent a holiday home or flat is in late spring or early autumn, when temperatures are at their finest and the crowds in the cities have dispersed. High season runs from late May to early September, while low season - November to March - brings cooler temperatures and the occasional wet days.
