Rustic holiday apartments in a Tuscan country house with a garden
The house is in the village Montisi and was formerly the residence of two farming families. It was still an active agricultural enterprise until a few years ago. Now the farm has been carefully restored, without changing its essential character, and divided into three apartments. One of them is occupied by the owners. The agriculture is now limited to olive oil production and the cultivation of large olive groves on the surrounding fields.
The two apartments are each suitable for four people. They have very tasteful and comfortable furnishing. The kitchens are fully-equipped and bed linen and towels are provided. All the rooms have heating (costs are charged on departure). Free wireless Internet access is available.
The house is surrounded by a large garden with garden furniture, a little grill and many plants. This area is for shared use. Each apartment has a private parking space.
Montisi is a medieval locality in the centre of Siena province. It is near art cities worth seeing, thermal baths and the wine-growing areas Siena, Arezzo, Cortona, Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano – all less than an hour away. The most attractive feature of the farmhouse is that, although it is at the heart of the locality, it has a very rural character and it offers plenty of privacy and peace and quiet with its olive groves and forests. Within a radius of about 300 metres you can find grocery shops, a pharmacy, a post office, bars and restaurants, where you can enjoy the excellent gastronomy of the region.
Generous holiday apartment with an open fireplace
The generous holiday apartment of around 90m² is on the first floor. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed (170 x 190cm) and one with two single beds (80 x 180cm). The bathroom, accessed up a short stairway, has a shower. The large living room features an antique open fireplace, exuding a cosy atmosphere on cold days. There is an adjoining kitchen.
