Family holiday with a panoramic view over the Rhön

This attic apartment is on a mountain slope in the idyllic climatic spa town of Tann, at the heart of the Rhön biosphere reserve in Hessen. The skylight in the living room affords an unforgettable panoramic view over the Rhön. The apartment is family and child-friendly and can accommodate two to seven people. It is ideal for families or couples.

The 75m² attic apartment on the second floor has a living and dining room with satellite TV and a sofa, a dining space and a south-facing balcony. There is a fully-equipped little kitchen with a dishwasher, stove, microwave with a grill and convection function, an oven, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and fridge-freezer. There are also three bedrooms. The first bedroom for two people is furnished with a double bed (180cm wide) and has direct access to the bathroom with a view of the mountain slope. The second bedroom for two to four people also has a double bed (140cm wide) and also a sofa bed. He third bedroom has two single beds 90cm wide. One bathroom directly adjoins the first bedroom and has a toilet, a washbasin and a shower. The second bathroom has a toilet and a washbasin, as well as a bath, and can be accessed from the hallway. There is a washing machine in the basement that guests can use free of charge. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the apartment.

The balcony adjoins the living and dining room, with four garden chairs and a table available in the apartment. In fine weather you can enjoy sunbathing here and relaxing. Smoking is prohibited in the apartment, but you can smoke on the balcony. There is a free parking space in front of the house, where two cars can be parked one behind the other. Pets are not allowed.

Near the apartment you can find many restaurants and leisure activities, such as the 3500m² indoor playground Rhön Räuber Park or the Wildpark in Gersfeld. The apartment is a starting point for hikes and trips, for example to the Rhön biosphere reserve, right by the tri-border region of Hessen, Bayern and Thüringen. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Kuppenrhön. Explore the Rhön nature along the 180-kilometre-long Hochrhöner hiking trail, which runs through three federal regions. If you enjoy cycling, you can go on a cyce tour on the Ulstertal railway track cycle path through Gelsa and Tann to Hilders, with a connection to the Milseburg cycle path at Aura. There are many hiking trails and places of interest in the region (e.g. in Tann). During the warm summer months you and your family can cool off in the Geriethbad outdoor pool. Other great trips within 50 kilometres are a gliding airfield, scenic flights and a summer toboggan run. The baroque town of Fulda, the Wartburg in Eisenach, as well as the visitor mine in Merker (former salt mine) and the theatre town of Meiningen. So that you can start the day with a hearty breakfast and fresh rolls, there are a bakery, a butcher and a supermarket about 2km away in the centre.

    “Die Ferienwohnung ist von der Größe, dadurch das sie viele Dachschrägen aufweist (die bei der Grundfläche der Wohnung nur zum Teil mitberechnet werden), geräumiger als man bei der Buchung annimmt. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, allerdings teilweise mit älterem Mobiliar - was uns persönlich nicht im geringsten gestört hat. Der sehr freundliche Vermieter erkundigte sich nach unserer Ankunft ob wir zurechtkommen oder irgendwelche Probleme hätten. Der nächste Supermarkt( Edeka) mit Bäckerei ist mit dem PKW in 4 Min erreichbar. Ein Teegut in Tann - nähe der Tankstelle. Ein Aldi, Lidl und Rewe befinden sich in Hilders - ca 11 km. Das sehr schöne Freibad mit großer Liegewiese ist schnell zu Fuß erreichbar - allerdings war uns der Rückweg bergauf oft zu beschwerlich, so dass wir den Weg mit dem PKW (ausreichend Parkplätze am Bad) machten und oft mit Nötigen Einkäufen verbanden. Wir waren fast 3 Wochen Gast und haben die ruhige Lage - am Waldrand mit wunderbarem Blick von oben auf Tann und weite Gebiete der Rhön - sehr genossen. Wir werden die Ferienwohnung bestimmt wieder buchen. Für uns war es ein gelungener Urlaub.”
